Eleven80 is a residential skyscraper in Newark New Jersey. It stands tall at 137 meters. That is 449 feet. Its address matches its name. You can find it at 1180 Raymond Boulevard.
Eleven80 has been a Newark hallmark since 1930. It shows amazing Art Deco details. Frank Grad designed this beauty. Eleven80 was the city’s tallest building until the National Newark Building came along.
Once inside Eleven80, imagine the year 1986. The building was vacant. Then, the Cogswell Group invested $120 million. They renovated it. In 2006, Eleven80 reopened as apartments. These were the first unsubsidized rentals downtown since 1960.
Look closely at Eleven80’s base. Notice the terra cotta panels. See the metal spandrels. Geometric floral motifs decorate them. Above the third floor, spot the letters “LN.” This stands for Lefcourt Newark. That was the building’s original name.
Today Eleven80 offers 317 luxury apartments. These include studios and one- and two-bedroom units. Rents are lower than in New York City Jersey City and Hoboken.

Andrew Stewart and Dev Morris secured $28.1 million in financing for Eleven80. The loan had a three-year term. It featured a floating rate. KBS Capital Advisors was the borrower.
Eleven80 is near Penn Station. This gives residents easy access to New York City. The Hudson Waterfront is also within reach. Newark is a cultural hub. It is an educational legal and business center. Eleven80 is at the heart of it all. It stands as a testament to Newark’s enduring spirit.
