Is this the place where faith knows no boundaries? We are standing right in front of Eldridge Road Baptist Church. This church isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to a vision. A vision of a church not confined by walls, but open to all.
Eldridge Road Baptist Church is part of The Church Without Walls, a beacon of faith in Houston. Founded by Pastor Ralph Douglas West in 1987, it began with a simple gathering of 32 individuals. From humble beginnings at the Brookhollow Marriott Hotel, the congregation flourished.
They moved to Bingle Road, then Queenston Boulevard, always expanding their reach. In 2002, Eldridge Road Baptist Church opened its doors. This marked a significant moment in the church’s history, extending its embrace to Southwest Houston.
But their story doesn’t end there. Even amidst Hurricane Harvey’s devastation in 2017, Eldridge Road Baptist Church and its sister locations stood strong. They became a source of support for the community, embodying the true spirit of faith and resilience.
Eldridge Road Baptist Church is more than just a place of worship. It’s a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and community. It reminds us that even in the face of adversity, the human spirit, bolstered by belief, can overcome any challenge.
