To get there from Antigua’s city center, find 1A Avenida. Follow it north. At the base of the hill, you will see the start of the hiking trail. There is a sign that welcomes you to El cerro de la Cruz. The path to your left has concrete stairs. They lead into the forest. This path takes you to the overlook.
The hike is not too difficult. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes. The trees offer shade on hot days. You might see birds and lovely greenery. The stairs will even out to a pathway. Then you will see the stunning views of Antigua from El cerro de la Cruz.
