Theseus, grateful for her kindness, vowed to return. Triumphant, he did, only to find Ekali had passed away. In her honor, Theseus established a sanctuary dedicated to Zeus and named the region Ekali. Today, Ekali has evolved into an affluent suburb of Athens, a world away from its humble beginnings. It’s a community where powerful business and shipping families have made their homes, drawn to its serene atmosphere and lush landscapes.
