Hidden within the Politecnico di Milano’s Bovisa campus, Edificio B15 stands as a testament to modern architecture. Edificio B15 isn’t just a building. It is a hub of learning, echoing with the murmurs of students and the quiet hum of technology. Edificio B15 houses lecture halls like LM.1, LM.3, LM.4, LM.5, and LM.6. These halls aren’t just spaces. They’re where ideas spark and innovation takes flight. Imagine a lecture in LM.1. This expansive hall, with a capacity of 400, is equipped with nearly 400 power outlets and network connections for laptops. The professor’s voice resonates through the hall, enhanced by a microphone and projector. Sunlight streams in, but the room can be darkened for presentations. Even with its modern amenities, Edificio B15 retains a connection to its past. The building’s ground floor seamlessly connects with the external pavement, and a single staircase leads to the upper level. While the building itself might lack accessible restrooms, the surrounding Campus La Masa Lambruschini offers designated parking, ramps, and smooth pathways, though tactile paving for the visually impaired is currently unavailable. Edificio B15 at Via La Masa, 34 is easily accessible from various points in Milan. From Milano Cadorna station, a short train ride to Milano Bovisa followed by a right turn and a descent down the stairs towards Via Mariani, then a quick left and right onto Via La Masa will lead you straight to it. From Milano Centrale, the MM2 green line to Garibaldi, a transfer to the Bovisa-bound train, and a similar short walk will bring you to the same spot. So, next time you’re at Politecnico di Milano’s Bovisa campus, take a moment to appreciate Edificio B15. It is more than just bricks and mortar; it’s a vital part of Milan’s academic landscape.
