Have you ever walked through a living museum? Welcome to the Eco Caribbean Culture Park. Here you’ll journey through history culture and nature all at once.

This isn’t just a park it’s a celebration of Roatan’s rich past. It showcases the lives of the Payan Indians descendants of the Mayan people who lived here centuries ago. You’ll see their homes recreated using mud and thatch just as they were in the 14th century.

The park also honors the island’s later inhabitants. You’ll discover how islanders lived in the 1930s building homes from wild cane and bamboo with thatch roofs. The Wildcane Museum House shows us exactly how they lived. Statues of Roatan legends and artifacts from the past fill this fascinating structure.

More than just history the park is alive with nature. Spot sloths monkeys hummingbirds and agouti rabbits in their natural habitat. Explore a tropical botanical garden filled with medicinal herbs. Did you know that 25% of Roatan’s lush vegetation has medicinal uses? Your guide will show you which plants to look out for.

But that’s not all. Meet Guapo the friendly capuchin monkey and Paquita the national bird of Honduras a stunning macaw. The park even boasts a family of four raccoons.

You can even taste the local culture sampling fresh fruit beverages and pastries made with ingredients grown right here in the park. Afterwards perhaps you’d like to pick up some authentic souvenirs. The Eco Caribbean Culture Park isn’t just a place to visit it’s an experience. It’s a vibrant place where history nature and culture intertwine to create a truly unforgettable journey.
