Lüneburg has several incorporated villages and communities. In 1943 Hagen and Lüne were merged. In 1974 Häcklingen Ochtmissen Oedeme and Rettmer were added. Also, the Ortsteile of Alt-Hagen Ebensberg and Pflegerdorf Gut Wienebüttel became part of Lüneburg.
