Pastor Carolyn Sissom’s journey is interwoven with the story of Eastgate Church. From a kitchen floor epiphany in the late 1980s to the present day Eastgate Church has been shaped by faith and perseverance. Initially called Little White Church it served the Houston community for fifteen years. The church’s move was necessitated by changing circumstances. Eastgate Church found a temporary home at Willow Fork Country Club. It wasn’t until 2021 that Eastgate Church settled into its current location at 10115 West Hidden Lakes Lane in Richmond Texas. This move coincided with a period of global upheaval. Pastor Sissom saw this as God’s shaking yielding a kingdom unshakeable. This period marked the beginning of the third church in Pastor Sissom’s ministry. Eastgate Church now stands as a testament to faith resilience and community. Its unique history showcases a dynamic relationship between the church and its devoted pastor. The current building is still under construction yet the congregation happily meets there every Sunday. Services include praise and worship led by several talented individuals. There are also Tuesday morning Bible studies and Wednesday night prayers held at the home of Rev Allen and Rev Sandra Farley. Eastgate Church continues to serve the Houston area. Pastor Sissom also ministers in conferences and retreats. Her sermons are available online. She has traveled extensively sharing her message. Her service extends to leadership within the Gospel Ministerial Alliance. Her work serves as a powerful illustration of dedication and faith. Eastgate Church stands as a beacon of faith in Richmond Texas. It’s a place of worship and community. It’s a place built on a foundation of prayer and perseverance. It’s more than just a building. It’s a living testament to the power of faith.
