Interestingly, the original church building, a bungalow-style structure, was constructed with the help of volunteer labor. The church was first occupied on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1915, a fittingly symbolic day for a new beginning. This original building later became Creswell Hall, eventually meeting its end through demolition around 1962 or 1963.
