“A five-star education, right here in Bangkok?” a student wondered aloud in 1993. That year marked the birth of Dusit Thani College. Initially known as ‘The Dusit Thani Hotel School’, Dusit Thani College emerged from a vision to elevate Thailand’s hospitality industry. Thailand faced a shortage of skilled professionals in this field. Existing programs often lacked practical training. Dusit Thani College aimed to bridge this gap. It offered a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. The college’s initial offerings included a Diploma in Hotel Operations and a Professional Chef Diploma. This focus on practical training quickly set Dusit Thani College apart. It became the first institution in Thailand to achieve college status and offer undergraduate programs. Today, Dusit Thani College stands as a leading institution for hospitality and culinary arts education. The college boasts two campuses. One is in Bangkok. The other is in the popular tourist destination of Pattaya. Dusit Thani College offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. These include Hotel Management, Service Innovation in Tourism Industry, and Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. The college also partners with prestigious international institutions. These partnerships include École hôtelière de Lausanne and Le Cordon Bleu. This allows students to gain a global perspective and access world-class training. Dusit Thani College continues its founder’s legacy of empowering individuals and shaping the future of hospitality in Thailand and beyond.
