The General Medical Council of Great Britain recognized the degree in 1995. In 2000 the World Health Organization listed DMCG. It was listed as a recognized medical school.
Dubai Medical College For Girls won the Dubai Quality Appreciation Program in 2006. In 2009 DMCG made the UAE the first country to join the FAIMER network. The college won the Dubai Quality Award in 2012. It was the first higher education institute to receive this award.
