The Courts have experienced several reorganizations. One notable instance was the 2003 merger with the Dubai Public Prosecution. This short-lived merger was later reversed in 2005. Today Dubai Court boasts a sophisticated multi-tiered system. It includes specialized courts such as the Inheritance Court opened in 2022.
