You can access Dragon Bay by taking a short bus ride from St. George’s towards Gouyave. Just let the driver know you’re heading to the Underwater Sculpture Park. From the road, a short walk leads you to a restaurant and changing facilities, then to the bay itself. Reefs flank both sides of the cove, teeming with vibrant marine life. Be warned: the right side, closer to the sculpture park, offers incredible snorkeling but boasts a strong current. Swimming back can be a challenge. Although the long stretch of beach might tempt you to swim across the cove, resist the urge. The shallow water hides a surprising number of sea urchins. It’s best to return the way you came. Dragon Bay is a protected marine area. You’ll need a bracelet to snorkel here. These are readily available for a small fee from the Grenada Tourism Authority, dive shops, or most hotels.
