The Dòng Nữ Đa Minh Phú Cường began as a response to a call. G. Baotixita Phạm Minh Mẫn invited the Đa Minh Miền Mẹ Mân Côi sisters to spread the gospel. Đức Cha Giuse Nguyễn Tấn Tước, Bishop of the Phu Cuong Diocese welcomed and guided them. The Đa Minh Miền Mẹ Mân Côi sisters then became the Dòng Nữ Đa Minh Phú Cường. They adopted the title of Our Lady of the Rosary.
