Opened in July 1958 with just 140 students, Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School has blossomed into a vibrant institution. Today, Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School educates over 5,000 students. Its story began with Father Mallon at the helm. He guided the school in its early years. Initially, Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School operated under the University of Madras. It received official recognition on March 19, 1959. Later, in November 1978, the school transitioned to the Board of Matriculation Schools. A significant milestone occurred on July 1, 1978. Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School expanded to include a Higher Secondary section. This new section received recognition from the Director of School Education. Today, the school follows the Tamil Nadu matriculation system up to class 10. For classes 11 and 12, it adheres to the Tamil Nadu State Board. The school’s motto, “Virtus in Arduis”, translates to “Virtue lies in Hardship”. Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School has a rich history and a vibrant present.
