\u0110\u00ecnh Th\u1ea7n Long Ph\u1ee5ng stands in Long H\u1ed9i hamlet. It is a proud symbol of Long \u0110\u1ecbnh commune, B\u00ecnh \u0110\u1ea1i district. This is not just a building. It is a story etched in time. Its origins trace back to 1833. Construction finished in 1834. It started humbly. It was built with simple materials like cây lá. The initial location differed from where we stand.
Recognizing the inconvenient location, Mr. \u0110\u1ed7 V\u0103n Ph\u1ee7 stepped forward. He was a respected figure in the village. He initiated the relocation. He oversaw the construction of \u0110\u00ecnh Th\u1ea7n Long Ph\u1ee5ng.
The reconstruction began in 1913. It concluded in 1916. The new scale was grander than the old one. It occupies the position it holds today. The architecture showcases the region’s artistic soul.
The total area of \u0110\u00ecnh Th\u1ea7n Long Ph\u1ee5ng spans 2,580 square meters. The temple itself covers 750 square meters. The walls are built of brick. The roof is tiled with âm d\u01b0\u01a1ng tiles. The columns are made of giáng h\u01b0\u01a1ng wood. The floor is paved with traditional tiles. The structure follows a traditional design. It includes the v\u00f5 ca, v\u00f5 quy, and chánh \u0111i\u1ec7n sections. These sections are connected. This creates a \u0111\u1ecbnh shaped structure.
Passing through the gate. We see a b\u1ee9c bình phong. There is also an altar dedicated to Th\u1ea7n nông. Two small temples stand. One is the mi\u1ebfu Ông H\u1ed5. It is dedicated to S\u01a1n quân. The other is the mi\u1ebfu Ng\u0169 Hành.
The chánh \u0111i\u1ec7n is the heart of \u0110\u00ecnh Th\u1ea7n Long Ph\u1ee5ng. Architectural features converge here. The space is divided into three sections. They gradually narrow in the t\u1ee9 tr\u1ee5 style. Brick walls and bông tiled floors add character. The roof uses âm d\u01b0\u01a1ng tiles. The roof is decorated with dragons in clouds. There are also images of l\u01b0\u1ee1ng long tranh châu. The scene includes cá hóa long. Inside, valuable artifacts remain. They include long đình, khánh th\u1edd, and h\u01b0\u01a1ng án. There are also li\u1ec5n áp c\u1ed9t and hoành phi. The khánh th\u1edd is carved in three layers. It features intricate designs. The designs showcase the t\u1ee9 linh and t\u1ee9 quý motifs. A unique long h\u1ed5 h\u1ed9i design adorns the bình phong. It is also on the altar of Th\u1ea7n nông. Look for the cu\u1ed3ng long on the roof too.
The v\u00f5 quy section is significant. Special decorations are found here. This includes three h\u01b0\u01a1ng án. There are also three c\u1eb7p quy h\u1ea1c. Look for the hoành phi. Three of them are in the cuốn th\u01b0 style. The ends of the beams connecting to the v\u00f5 ca section are carved into dragon heads. Above the câu \u0111\u1ed1i in this section, there is a wooden piece. It is carved with a tỉ giác shape. It shows the t\u1ee9 linh.
\u0110\u00ecnh Th\u1ea7n Long Ph\u1ee5ng also holds two sắc phong. These are from King T\u1ef1 \u0110\u1ee9c in 1852. One is the sắc B\u1ed5n C\u1ea3nh Thành Hoàng. The other is sắc \u0110\u1ea1i Càn Qu\u1ed1c gia Nam H\u1ea3i t\u1ee9 v\u1ecb tôn th\u1ea7n.
Each year, \u0110\u00ecnh Th\u1ea7n Long Ph\u1ee5ng hosts several ceremonies. These include Khai S\u01a1n on the 7th day of the first lunar month. Th\u01b0\u1ee3ng Nguyên on the 15th day of the first lunar month is also celebrated. T\u1ebft \u0110oan Ng\u1ecd and H\u1ea1 Nguyên are also important. H\u1ea1 Nguyên falls on the 15th day of the tenth lunar month. Finally, there is Th\u01b0\u1ee3ng \u0110i\u1ec1n.
\u0110\u00ecnh Th\u1ea7n Long Ph\u1ee5ng is more than an old building. It is a living museum. It reflects the art and history of B\u00ecnh \u0110\u1ea1i. In 2018, it was recognized as a National Architectural Art Monument. The future looks bright.
