Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet a real dinosaur? The Dinazor Maketi has stood tall in Ankara for years, its imposing presence a testament to an era long gone. Even if it is just a gigantic metal sculpture, it has become an iconic landmark, a reminder of the ancient giants that roamed the earth. Stand right in front of the Dinazor Maketi, and you can practically feel the earth tremble under its colossal weight. You can almost hear its thunderous roar echoing through the city. Now, the Dinazor Maketi has been removed, as if it too was a figment of a forgotten era, leaving only a faint echo of its presence. It was a giant, almost 10 meters long and 3 meters high, made of metal. Built in 2015, it was meant to promote Ankapark, an amusement park in Ankara. It was a controversial attraction, a bold attempt by the mayor at the time to draw attention and tourism. But for almost a decade, it stood as a silent witness to the bustling life of Ankara. Today, it is gone, leaving behind memories and stories, much like the dinosaurs it represents.
