Dialog im Dunkeln is located in Hamburg’s historic Speicherstadt. This UNESCO World Heritage Site adds to the unique atmosphere. Since April 2000, Dialog im Dunkeln has opened eyes to a new perspective. Until 2019, twelve million visitors have taken part in guided tours.

Here, blind guides lead you through a world without light. You’ll be equipped with a white cane. Everyday situations become captivating adventures. Imagine walking in a park or visiting a street market. Crossing a busy street becomes a challenge. In total darkness, your other senses awaken. You begin to rely on sound, touch, smell, and taste. This is a world where the visually impaired become ambassadors. They share their daily lives with you.

The tour at Dialog im Dunkeln lasts 60 minutes. It is available in German and English. We recommend Dialog im Dunkeln for visitors aged 8 and older. The experience takes place on the ground floor. Wheelchairs are welcome, please indicate when booking.

After your tour, you can relax in our unique Dark Bar. Enjoy a drink in complete darkness. It is an opportunity to ask questions. You can gain deeper insights into life without sight.
