Perhaps you have a feeling of love and hospitality today. That feeling is just like the atmosphere within Destined for Glory Church. It extends a warm invitation for fellowship.
Destined for Glory World Outreach Ministries started with a vision. God spoke to Pastor Tony in December 2001. He told him that he would go to Las Vegas in 2003 to start a church. In April 2003, God told Pastor Tony to name the church Destined for Glory World Outreach Ministries.
In July 2003, Pastor Tony and his wife Kathy came to Las Vegas. They were guest ministers at a month-long tent revival. God spoke to him and said it was time to start the church.
Pastor Tony and Lady Kathy held their first service on August 3, 2003. The service was at the Hampton Inn in Las Vegas. About 70 people attended. Weekly worship services continued at the hotel for four months. By this time, the weekly attendance had grown to nearly 90 people.
In October 2003, Pastor Tony, Lady Kathy, and their children became residents of Las Vegas. In December 2003, they moved into their new building. The building was over 9,000 square feet. It was located at 3155 East Patrick Ln. They held weekly worship services there for five years.
In the spring of 2009, the ministry reorganized. It moved to 3565 East Post Rd. God blessed the ministry. It continued to grow. God impressed upon Pastor Tony’s heart to open a second location. It was on the north side of town. In the summer of 2009, Destined For Glory’s north location opened. It welcomed congregants to Silver Mesa Recreation Center.
In September 2010, Pastor Tony had a car accident. He experienced a lengthy recovery. This led to closing the doors on the second location. In 2013, Destined for Glory celebrated 10 years of ministry. It was at its current location. The location is 6037 South Rainbow Blvd.
Destined For Glory is based on love and hospitality. It operates under the Holy Spirit. It is a church that believes in unity. Its motto is “Working towards the vision in one accord, one thought, one language, and one action.”
Allison and Gerard met in 2019 at an Atlanta Conference. They wanted to learn more about bringing their ministries forth. They reunited in 2022. They began working to bring Destined for Glory to life.
Through Jesus Christ, they seek to liberate trauma survivors. They offer hope and comfort. They provide a doorway to untangle the tentacles of abuse.
Destined for Glory brings awareness and resources for helping unravel trauma. It uses podcasting and workshops. It also provides pastoral counseling and coaching. They share the gospel of mercy rather than laws and shame.
Remember that Destined for Glory is more than just a church. It’s a family founded on principles of love. It’s a place where the spoken word of God ministers to your needs. The Holy Spirit meets you right where you are. So now you know the story of Destined for Glory.
