Katsuhiko Endo designed this museum. He envisioned a metropolis of art. Here, people and activities intersect. The passage is the building’s spine. It connects the inside with the outside. This space is fluid. It can be a venue for art or a hub for activities.
Even the furniture tells a story at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art. Taiji Fujimori designed the chairs and benches. He used Japanese oak from Hokkaido. The wood feels soft. The furniture harmonizes with the architecture. The designs use the “N” from Nakanoshima. This creates a unique atmosphere.
Takasuke Onishi designed the museum’s visual identity. The logomark features the black rectangular exterior. It also uses the letter “N”. This connects the architecture and the museum’s name. The logotype is wide with thin lines. This expresses ease and accessibility.
Kota Iguchi created the motion logo. It reflects Aqua Metropolis Osaka. It captures the wavering surfaces of the rivers. The “N” transforms on a square grid. This represents the museum’s potential for change.
The Nakanoshima Museum of Art actively hosts exhibitions. These cover a wide range of fields. The museum celebrated its third anniversary recently. To mark the occasion, the museum handed out stickers.
