A church born from a goat farm? That’s the legacy of Dellview Baptist Church. Right here in the heart of Dellview, this house of worship started its journey in 1952. Dellview Baptist Church was founded by 62 devoted Christians. They envisioned a place of worship in this then-new neighborhood and their dedication led them to a unique purchase – a five-acre goat farm. Sadly, tragedy struck in 1974 when a fire destroyed the original sanctuary. But, displaying the resilience of faith, a new sanctuary was built the following year. Dellview Baptist Church is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas and is led by Pastor Neal Abbott. Pastor Abbott, a longtime member of the church himself, assumed this role in 2022. Dellview Baptist Church continues to be a testament to the enduring power of faith and community.
