Dekanat Bogatynia

Did you ever hear of a deanery that oversees nine distinct parishes? Here at Dekanat Bogatynia, that’s precisely the setup. Dekanat Bogatynia isn’t a physical building you can walk into. It’s an administrative region within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Legnica. Think of it as an umbrella organization. It connects nine different parishes, each with its own unique character and patron saint. Dekanat Bogatynia is headed by Dean Ryszard Trzósło, who operates from the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul in Bogatynia. He is assisted by Vice-Dean Piotr Kutkiewicz, from St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. The spiritual father, Ryszard Kulpa, resides at St. Bartholomew’s Parish in Działoszyn. These individuals guide the nine parishes under Dekanat Bogatynia’s purview. The parishes include those dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and St. Mary Magdalene, all in Bogatynia. Further out, you’ll find St. Bartholomew’s in Działoszyn, St. John the Baptist in Krzewina, and the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in both Opolno-Zdrój and Osiek Łużycki. Finally, there’s the Parish of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Porajów. While you won’t find a “Dekanat Bogatynia” building, its presence is woven into the fabric of these nine parishes.
