Pastor E.A. Deckard is the founder of Green House International Church in Houston. He is a spiritual shepherd. He is also a ministerial and business visionary.
After attending Morgan State University, Deckard returned to Houston. He began working with youth from the inner city streets. He served as Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor, and Senior Pastor for three local churches in Houston.
In 1997, Pastor Deckard married Sandra Denise Norris. In 2007, they founded the Green House International Church.
Pastor Deckard’s unique style of sharing the Word of God has impacted many lives. He has been honored by local and national organizations for his work in Houston’s inner-city neighborhoods.
He is a contributing writer with the Houston Forward Times. His weekly articles are titled “Forward Thinking”. He coaches and encourages people through his commentaries on social and political issues.
Pastor Deckard is an active member of the Kingdom Builders Global Fellowship. He also works with Project Forward and the Black Male Summit.
Pastor Deckard inspires people to become change in a challenging environment. He partners with “End Mass Incarceration Houston”. This movement is committed to eliminating factors fueling mass incarceration.
Today, Pastor Deckard uses any and all resources for outreach. Radio, magazines, television, word of mouth and the Internet help him spread God’s word. He wants to make sure that this year is a year of double blessing for all who hear and receive the Word.
Pastor E.A. and Sandra Deckard are the parents of Jessie, Diamonic, and Chasate. They are also parents to the late Genesis Ne’vaeh Deckard. They have a granddaughter named Harmonee D Bryant. In 2008, they were blessed with Charles Qualls III, their spiritually adopted son.
