Deep beneath the bustling streets of Guangzhou lies Dashi Station. A hidden marvel of modern engineering. This isn’t just any metro stop. It’s a portal to a city’s heartbeat.

Dashi Station opened on December 28 2006. It’s part of Guangzhou Metro Line 3. The station sits under the New Moon Pearl Garden in the Dashi Subdistrict of Panyu District. Its location is strategically important. It’s near where the Xinguang Expressway crosses Qunxian Road.

Imagine the construction. Workers toiling deep underground. Creating this bustling hub. They carved out space for platforms and concourses. They built the station to handle thousands of commuters daily. The station has two platforms. These serve Line 3 trains heading in opposite directions.

Initially there were plans for Line 7 to intersect here. Structures were even built for this purpose. But plans changed. Line 7 now connects at Hanxi Changlong Station. Those unused structures are now hidden behind enamel panels. A silent testament to the ever-evolving city above.

Today you can step onto the platform at Dashi Station. You can feel the rumble as a train approaches. You can see the digital displays flashing the next station’s name. You might even spot some of Guangzhou’s unique advertisements. You can exit the station through several exits on Qunxian Road and near the Xinguang Expressway.

The station is more than just a transit point. It’s a symbol of Guangzhou’s growth. Its ambition and its ever-changing landscape. It’s a story written in steel concrete and the daily rush of commuters. A story waiting to be explored.
