“Hunger has no place in our city” That’s the unwavering belief that fuels Crossroads Community Church. This church stands as a beacon of hope. It unites our community in the fight against hunger and homelessness.

Crossroads Community Church welcomes New Yorkers from all walks of life. It embraces all races, religions, national origins, genders, ethnicities, orientations, and abilities.

The church’s tradition of service began with St. Bartholomew’s Church in the early 20th century. In 1990, Crossroads Community Services Inc. was created. It became an independent nonprofit. It supports neighbors in need. This work is more vital today than ever before.

Crossroads Community Church operates several programs. They provide warm meals and healthy groceries to New York City residents. This includes residents in The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

Guests face the challenges of food insecurity. Crossroads offers a welcoming community to them. Guests, volunteers, and supporters are all welcome.

The church serves meals at 108 East 51st Street. It is located between Park and Lexington Avenues.

Crossroads Community Church continues to distribute meals on a carry-out basis. They are exploring how to welcome guests back for seated meals.

Crossroads Community Church offers breakfast. Hot meals and coffee are served Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday. Brunch is offered every Saturday morning. It includes hot food and coffee. Dinner is served every evening. This is a partnership with the Coalition for the Homeless.

The church also runs a pantry. Fresh vegetables, fruits, proteins, dairy, and dry goods are available every Thursday.

Martha Avery is the Interim Executive Director. David Sanders is the Program Manager. Leon Guy is the Facility Manager. Jamar Campbell is the Facility Assistant.

Camille Greenwald is the Donations Liaison. Steve Sakson is the Volunteer Coordinator.

The Board of Directors includes Meredith Simmons as Chairwoman. Dennis Karr and Patrick Bergquist serve as Vice Chairmen. Susan Jones is the Treasurer. Rob Veeren is the Secretary. Other board members include Ato Bernasko, Peter Betz, Jordan Eyal, Alric Nembhard, and Rev. Zack Nyein.
