Here, at the corner of Northwest Military Highway and Wurzbach Road in San Antonio, this church has a unique story to tell. Crossroads wasn’t always Crossroads. It began in 1976 as a mission of University Park Baptist Church under Pastor James McKee. This wasn’t a new building project then, but a vision to serve the Northwest part of San Antonio. The church grew and thrived. Fast forward to 1993. Pastor Doug Diehl, a man with a PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, arrived to lead Crossroads. He joined a vibrant church, one committed to leading people to faith, making disciples, fellowship, and service. This commitment continues today with a dedicated staff. Senior Pastor Doug Diehl still leads the congregation, supported by Associate Pastor Stuart, Youth and Young Adult Pastor Ryne Weitzel, Children’s Director Katy, and others.
