CREATE-X is a haven for budding entrepreneurs at the heart of Georgia Tech. It’s more than just a building – it’s a vibrant community. It’s the place where dreams are born, where ideas take flight, and where some of the most exciting startups in Atlanta get their start. Imagine walking through the doors of CREATE-X and feeling the electricity in the air. The buzz of collaboration echoes in the hallways. You can hear the click-clack of keyboards, the excited whispers of brainstorming sessions, and the passionate debates about the next big thing.
CREATE-X was launched in 2014 with a simple goal: to empower Georgia Tech students to launch successful startups. Since then, it has become a powerhouse of innovation, producing over 100 startups each year. The program is organized into three categories: LEARN, MAKE, and LAUNCH. The LEARN category consists of classes that expose students to startup concepts and teach them evidence-based entrepreneurship. The MAKE category provides students with resources to prototype their ideas, and the LAUNCH category is a program for students who want to launch their projects into fully functioning startups. At CREATE-X, you’ll find everything from budding artists to engineers who are building innovative technology.
There are always events happening at CREATE-X. One of the most popular events is the annual Startup Launch competition, where student teams compete for funding and mentorship. The program also has a dedicated space for student startups to work and collaborate. Many successful companies have come out of CREATE-X, including Stord, Reframe, Sora Schools, and FIXD. These companies have gone on to raise millions of dollars in funding and create jobs in Atlanta. If you’re looking for a place to be inspired, to learn about entrepreneurship, or to make connections with other innovators, CREATE-X is the place to be.
