“Baile an Chorraigh” is the Irish name for Corrstown. It means “town of the marsh”. We are now in Corrstown in the Barony of Nethercross. This townland resides within the civil parish of Kilsallaghan.

But nationwide, it ranks as the 18305th largest townland. Corrstown was added to OpenStreetMap on 12 Aug 2015. A user named brianh made the addition.
But there’s more to Corrstown than just its size and location. Corrstown is near Dublin Airport. Corrstown is home to the Corrstown Golf Club. It has a 27-hole course. Corrstown Golf Club stands out. It was the first golf club in Ireland to offer equal status to men and women. It is also the first fully member-owned golf club in Ireland.
The golf club boasts a championship standard River Course with 18 holes. Fairway mounds, burns and lakes make it special. A small river meanders through the course. It comes into play on several holes. The nine-hole Orchard Course is shorter. It is just as much fun.
The course was designed by Eddie Connaughton. It has matured into one of the best parkland courses in County Dublin. Unique water features enhance the challenge and excitement.
The Corrstown Golf Club clubhouse has a full bar and restaurant. There is also a coffee dock and a pro shop. The bar overlooks the course. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu. The coffee dock and lounge offer a relaxed atmosphere. The pro shop sells golf apparel and merchandise. You can meet resident golf professional Pat Gittens there.
There is a practice putting facility by the clubhouse. A practice chipping green and a mini driving range sit near the Orchard course entrance. You can rent equipment including buggies, trolleys and clubs.
