The Community Church of Poway has faced challenges. In the past repairs were needed. Amazingly the community rallied. They raised $50000 to repair the roof paint and steeple. That shows the enduring bond between the church and its people.
The church’s history is rich in detail. In 1893 it was exchanged for the Oceanside Congregational Church. Later in 1976 it was even marked by the San Diego Parlor No 208 Iila Knox Parlor No 320 Native Daughters of the Golden West.
