It’s the heart of the Riverside community in Northwest Atlanta. Collins Memorial has been serving the neighborhood for over 200 years. Its roots go all the way back to 1821. The church is known for its unwavering commitment to the community. This is most evident in its incredible food pantry. The Collins Memorial Food Pantry is a beacon of hope for many families. Members and volunteers at Collins Memorial distribute nearly 200,000 pounds of food a year. Think about it: that’s enough food to feed almost 200 families each week! In 2022 alone, they provided a staggering 636,000 pounds of food to those in need. While membership has declined in recent years, the spirit of Collins Memorial remains strong. In a move aimed at securing its future and continuing its vital ministry, Collins Memorial merged with Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. This merger gave rise to Peachtree Road UMC’s Westside Table campus, ensuring a vibrant Methodist presence continues on Atlanta’s Upper Westside. The legacy of Collins Memorial United Methodist Church continues to nourish both body and soul.
