Established in 1927, Collège André-Grasset stands proudly in Montreal. It’s a private institution, a stone’s throw from Autoroute 40 and the Crémazie metro station. The priests of Saint-Sulpice Seminary founded Collège André-Grasset. It’s named after the priest and martyr, André Grasset. The Archbishop of Montreal specifically requested its construction. Imagine this place in its early days, a groundbreaking institution. Collège André-Grasset was the first college in the area to cater exclusively to external students. No dormitories, just a focus on quality education, particularly in the sciences. This was a departure from the traditional boarding school model. This forward-thinking approach set Collège André-Grasset apart. Over the years, Collège André-Grasset expanded. A gym was added in 1975, and a multipurpose room in 1990. Collège André-Grasset also houses the Institut Grasset. Since 2003, the Institut has offered technical training courses, further solidifying the college’s commitment to diverse educational pathways. Today, Collège André-Grasset offers a wide range of pre-university programs. These include sciences, humanities, arts and letters, and computer science and mathematics. They even offer enriched programs like DEC Plus in natural sciences, and Sciences, Letters and Arts. Collège André-Grasset continues its legacy of academic excellence and innovation. It’s a testament to the vision of its founders, a place where students can pursue their passions.
