Coldwater Canyon Park opened in July 1920. It’s located on the east side of Coldwater Canyon at Beverly Drive. The park was considered very unique because it was built over a reservoir. This reservoir can hold 8 million gallons.
Today Coldwater Canyon Park offers much more. The park has expanded to over 5.5 acres. You will find landscaped green spaces there. A synthetic jogging track is available for exercise. Seating areas with shade trellises offer relaxation. A fountain adds to the park’s beauty. The Woods Davy “Stillwater” art sculpture enhances the scenery.
The west side of Coldwater Canyon Park is equally impressive. Here, you’ll discover a wide span of green space. Gwynn Murrill’s “Cougar III” bronze sculpture stands proudly. Children can enjoy the playground. There are separate play areas for 2-5 year olds and 5-12 year olds.
Hikers, students, and wildlife all call Coldwater Canyon Park home. Bobcats, foxes, and even skunks have been spotted here. The park is a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
