What brought Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church into existence? It all began as a vision from God to Pastor Ralph Mansfield Crowder in July 1996. Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church’s story is one of faith, perseverance, and growth. Pastor Crowder, along with a dedicated group, signed the church’s charter in his home. The first service took place not in a traditional church building, but in a conference room, thanks to the generosity of Pastor Crowder’s supervisor. The sermon, fittingly, focused on “Your Fellowship in the Gospel.” Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church moved a few times in its early years. From Pastor Crowder’s home, it found a temporary space on Clarewood Drive. This served as their spiritual home for nine years. Then, in 2005, came a significant step: the purchase of land on Creekbend Drive for a future sanctuary. Hurricane Ike in 2008 brought devastation, destroying the Clarewood location. The church, resilient as ever, moved next door to their purchased land, occupying a suite on Creekbend Drive. Two years later, in 2010, Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church found a temporary home at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church’s Activity Center. This allowed them to focus on their Building Fund Campaign, inching closer to their dream of a permanent sanctuary. The groundbreaking ceremony in 2012 marked a pivotal moment. Construction soon followed, and in 2013, the dream became reality. The first service was held in the new sanctuary on Creekbend Drive. A month-long dedication celebration followed, with guest pastors from across the region joining in the joyous occasion. Today, Clubcreek New Life Community Baptist Church continues to thrive, offering Sunday School at 9:00 AM, Morning Worship at 10:30 AM, and Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM. It stands as a testament to the vision and perseverance of its founder and the unwavering faith of its community.
