Club Barrio Parque is known by a few nicknames. It is called Verde, Locomotora Verde and Parque. These names reflect its spirit and local pride.

Imagine the energy here on a typical day. You will find about 350 families. Around 4000 athletes participate in its activities. The club offers a wide array of sports. Football, basketball, field hockey, and artistic gymnastics are all popular. There is also handball and volleyball. In total, there are 14 federated disciplines.

In football, Club Barrio Parque has a respected youth program. Many players receive comprehensive training here. This allows them to move on to bigger clubs. The first division football team won the Copa Córdoba in 2018. Importantly, it is one of the few clubs in the Liga Cordobesa that has never been relegated.

Club Barrio Parque has rivalries with other local clubs. These include Club Atlético Universitario, Club Atlético Bella Vista, and Club Atlético All Boys. These matches bring extra excitement to the community.

Currently, the basketball team competes in the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso. This is the second-highest level of basketball in Argentina. The football team plays in the Liga Cordobesa de Fútbol. This is in the sixth tier of Argentine football.

The basketball program started early in the club’s history. It has steadily grown. Club Barrio Parque even reached the finals of the Torneo Federal de Básquet in 2013. Although they lost a close final series to Unión of Santa Fe, they secured promotion. They won the series for the second promotion against Regatas. This success marked their entry into the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso for the 2013-14 season.

In football, Club Barrio Parque focuses on youth development. It teaches values through sports. The club has teams in different zones of the Liga Cordobesa. They have teams in the gold and silver zones. They also have a recreational youth academy.

Club Barrio Parque’s stadium is named Estadio Lorenzo Barzola. It has a capacity of 1,200 spectators. It was originally opened in 1998. It was then renovated and reopened on June 24, 2006.
