Beneath the imposing Aviva Stadium, a hidden world of urban wildlife unfolds. The City Wildlife Mural stretches an impressive 160.4 meters. This isn’t just any mural. It’s a dynamic collaboration between Iarnród Éireann, Aviva Stadium, and Dublin City Council. The City Wildlife Mural isn’t confined to a single canvas. It dances across multiple walls and along a tunnel leading to the Lansdowne Road Level Crossing. Imagine a sly fox, a regular sight around Dublin’s city center stations, immortalized on Wall 1 by artist Dan Leo. As you continue along the City Wildlife Mural, an urban hawk, created by Artists for All City Records, takes flight on Wall 2. The heart of the City Wildlife Mural is a vibrant collaboration between The Walls Project and artists Holly Pereira, Omin, and Decoy. A black cat weaves its way through bright flowers and bold graphics. This central section of the City Wildlife Mural creates a sense of movement. Passengers on the DART, Commuter, and Rosslare Intercity services can catch glimpses of this “page flick” effect as they pass by. The City Wildlife Mural offers a unique perspective on the wildlife that thrives in the heart of Dublin.
