Craving knowledge about astrology? The Church of Light might be just what you’re looking for. This church has a fascinating history rooted in occult science.

The Church of Light’s story began long before its official incorporation in 1932. It evolved from the Brotherhood of Light. That organization emerged in Los Angeles in 1915.

Elbert Benjamine led the way. He is also known as C.C. Zain. Benjamine wrote lessons on astrology, alchemy, and magic. These lessons formed the core of the Brotherhood’s teachings.

The Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor influenced the Brotherhood of Light. Max Theon ordered the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor to close. This led to Elbert Benjamine founding a new organization. It would bring occultism to ordinary people.

In 1932, the Church of Light was officially incorporated. This was partly a response to restrictions on teaching astrology in Los Angeles County. C.C. Zain, Fred Skinner, and Elizabeth D. Benjamine were the founding officers.

The Church of Light aimed to teach the Religion of the Stars. This religion is a way of life for the Aquarian Age. It is based on the writings of C.C. Zain.

The church provides lessons to members and non-members. These lessons cover astrology, alchemy, and magic. Students who pass all 21 exams receive a Hermetician’s Certificate.

The Church of Light teaches that science and religion are not enemies. Nature’s laws form the basis of true religions. Astrology helps in understanding nature.

Over the years, the Church of Light has faced schisms. One notable split occurred after Elbert Benjamine remarried. His son, Will Benjamine, then established the Stellar Ministry. This was a short-lived group teaching Hermeticism and Christianity.

The Church of Light headquarters moved several times. It was once located in Los Angeles. Later, it moved to Brea, California, and then to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Today, classes and services are streamed online. Margaret Joscher is the current president.

So remember the Church of Light. It stands as a beacon for those seeking astrological and occult knowledge.
