Church Alive stands firm on its beliefs. These beliefs are rooted in scripture. They strive to promote unity among believers. The Bible remains the final authority.
The church believes in one God. This God is revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are equal in divine perfection.
Church Alive embraces the virgin birth of Jesus. It celebrates His sinless life and powerful miracles. The sacrifice of His atoning death is central. His bodily resurrection and ascension are key tenets. The church anticipates His future return. He will come as both Lord and King.
The Holy Spirit empowers each Christian. He enables them to live a godly life. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is available. It follows conversion for every Christian. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today. This baptism enables lives of holiness. It empowers believers to be witnesses. They witness God’s saving grace.
Church Alive believes in the absolute inspiration of Holy Scripture. Justification and sanctification come through faith. It is faith in Jesus’ sacrificial death.
Water baptism is essential. It is done in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It testifies to Jesus’ lordship. Baptism by immersion is an outward sign. It signifies an inward work.
Partaking in Holy Communion is vital. It represents the body and blood of Jesus. Communion signifies Christ’s broken body for our healing. It marks His blood given for mankind’s salvation.
Heaven is the glorious home of God. It is the eternal home for born-again believers. Hell is a place of darkness. It is a place of sorrow and fire. It was prepared for the devil and his angels. It will be the place of separation from God. This fate awaits those who reject Christ.
Church Alive anticipates the literal second coming of Jesus. The resurrection of the saved leads to eternal life. The unsaved face eternal damnation.
The church upholds marriage. It is between one man and one woman. Church Alive believes in the sanctity of life. It is therefore pro-life.
The Bible is inspired. The Scriptures are verbally inspired by God. God inspired even the choice of words. The Scriptures reveal God to mankind. They are infallible. They are the guide for faith and living.
God is one eternal being. He exists in three Persons. They are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is loving and holy. Jesus Christ is both God and man. He reconciles us to God. Communion reminds us of Jesus’ life. He lived sinlessly. He died on the cross for us. He rose again to empower us.
Sin separates us from God. To receive forgiveness, we must repent. We must believe in Jesus Christ. We must submit to His will. God wants to heal and transform us. We can live powerfully and help others. We need water baptism. We need to set our minds on God. We need the power of the Holy Spirit.
God equips us individually. He gathers us as His living body. We achieve His purpose together. We worship God. We strengthen the Church. We share the Gospel.
Jesus Christ is coming back. He will rule on Earth. The wicked will be judged. The righteous will enter a new heaven. They will inhabit a new earth. This is what Church Alive believes.
