How about a story of faith taking root in new soil? That is the story of Chùa Pháp Trí. It stands as a testament to the growing Buddhist community in Tân Phước district. This is a relatively new temple. Its establishment reflects the increasing number of Phật tử faithful. These people embrace Buddhist teachings.
Tân Phước district had few places for Buddhist practice. Only seven temples existed. Yet, the number of devotees was significant. Local Buddhists yearned for a place to learn and practice. The Ban Trị sự GHPGVN recognized this need. They began the process of establishing a new temple. They followed all legal regulations.
In March 2023, the UBND tỉnh Tiền Giang approved the temple’s creation. This approval was a crucial step. It allowed the Ban Trị sự GHPGVN to proceed. They could establish Chùa Pháp Trí. Soon after, the GHPGVN tỉnh Tiền Giang made its own decision. They officially added Chùa Pháp Trí to their list of temples.
A significant event occurred in June 2023. The establishment of Chùa Pháp Trí was formally announced. At the same time, Thượng tọa Thích An Thanh was appointed as the trụ trì. He was entrusted with building the temple and guiding local Buddhists. He would lead them in their spiritual practice. His responsibility was to ensure they followed the GHPGVN charter. He also had to ensure they followed state laws.
The ceremony was attended by many important figures. These included leaders from the GHPGVN tỉnh Tiền Giang. There were also representatives from Long An province. Government officials from various levels were present. Phật tử devotees also joined the celebration.
Ông Dương Hoàng Bảo Ngọc announced the UBND tỉnh Tiền Giang’s approval. Ông Lê Hoàng Liêm presented the official document. Đại đức Thích Đức Minh announced the decision. This decision formally established Chùa Pháp Trí. Thượng tọa Thích Quảng Lộc presented the decision. It was given to Thượng tọa Thích Đức Thắng.
Thượng tọa Thích Đức Minh also announced the appointment of Thượng tọa Thích An Thanh. He was now the Trụ trì of Chùa Pháp Trí. Thượng tọa Thích Đức Thắng gave the appointment decision. It was presented to the new Trụ trì.
Thượng tọa Thích An Thanh pledged to fulfill his duties. He vowed to guide the community. He would act in the spirit of “hoằng pháp lợi sanh, báo Phật ân đức”. Phật tử Nhật Nguyên pledged to support the Tam Bảo. They promised to help Thượng tọa Thích An Thanh. Their goal was to complete Chùa Pháp Trí quickly. It would become a place for spiritual practice.
Ông Hồ Tấn Sơn spoke at the ceremony. He congratulated the GHPGVN huyện Tân Phước. They had a new temple. He expressed confidence in the leadership. He believed that Thượng tọa Thích An Thanh would complete the temple soon. It would contribute to the local community.
Thượng tọa Thích Quảng Lộc also spoke. He thanked the government for their support. He reminded Thượng tọa Thích An Thanh to continue his studies. He needed to fulfill his duties. He must work closely with local authorities. Together, they would spread Phật pháp. They would contribute to the nation.
At the end of the ceremony, there was a special ritual. The Chùa board was raised. This was a joyous moment for everyone.
Chùa Pháp Trí stands as a symbol of faith. It represents growth. It is a place where the community can come together. They can practice Buddhist teachings. Its establishment is a testament to the dedication. It is a sign of the growing Buddhist community in Tân Phước.
