Here unfolds a story that started from humble beginnings. It slowly grew into a sanctuary. This is the story of Chùa Huỳnh Mai.
In 1989, Ni sư Thích nữ Tịnh Diệu envisioned a temple. It arose from a wild and desolate place. She step by step created a stable foundation. The temple gradually became complete.
By 2002, the provincial Buddhist community recognized Chùa Huỳnh Mai. Functional departments also gave their approval. The temple could officially operate within the Giáo hội. This marked a significant milestone. It allowed the community to worship legally.
Then in 2011, Ni sư organized a groundbreaking ceremony. They started the reconstruction of Chùa Huỳnh Mai. The aim was to build a magnificent Tam bảo. This provided favorable conditions. Local Buddhists could practice and engage. They could participate in Buddhist activities more easily.
To ensure the Tam bảo’s continued growth, Ni sư Thích nữ Tịnh Diệu sent a request. It went to the authorities. She also sent it to the provincial Buddhist board. She proposed the appointment of a new abbess. Sư cô Thích nữ Trung Hạnh was chosen. She had advanced degrees in Buddhist studies. She possessed the moral character. She was deemed fit to carry on Buddhist affairs at Chùa Huỳnh Mai.
Đại đức Thích Thiện Minh then read the decision. He formally appointed Sư cô Thích nữ Trung Hạnh. She became the abbess of Chùa Huỳnh Mai. Ni sư Thích nữ Tịnh Diệu was appointed as the viện chủ. She continued to support the temple. She was a part of the GHPGVN in Bình Dương province.
Sư cô Thích nữ Trung Hạnh vowed to perfect herself. She promised to live with humility. She would listen to honor her mentor’s expectations. She pledged to manage Buddhist affairs at Chùa Huỳnh Mai. Her goal was to align activities with Giáo hội’s Hiến chương. She also would follow Ban Tăng sự’s Nội quy. Sư cô aimed to cultivate her practice. She wanted to grow a life of purity. She aspired to be a role model. She hoped to fulfill her mentor’s and Giáo hội’s expectations.
Ni sư Thích nữ Tịnh Diệu gave words of encouragement. She wished Sư cô strength and resolve. She would carry the abbess’s responsibility. Ni sư hoped she would maintain chính pháp. She should benefit everyone and herself. She would know how to lead a life benefiting đạo and đời.
Today, Chùa Huỳnh Mai stands as a testament. It reflects dedication and growth. It serves as a spiritual anchor. It provides solace to many.
