Perhaps you have heard of Hebrews 11.1. It says faith is the substance of things hoped for. It is the evidence of things not seen. Right here stands Christian Community Alliance Church. It embodies that faith.

Christian Community Alliance Church or CCA has a compelling story. It began in New York in March 1985. Seventeen people came together. Their first service was on April 7th of that year.

CCA is a Word of Faith church. It is a Full Gospel and Non-Denominational Assembly. This fellowship believes in the divine message of salvation. It covers man’s spirit soul and body. They see it as vital to this dying world. Their mission is clear. They want to declare the Gospel of Christ to all who will listen.

Christian Community Alliance Church commits to positive influence. It wants to change its community. It also seeks to impact the world. They aim to bring the Gospel of hope to all. This includes salvation peace and eternal life.

Pastor Georges Defay founded Christian Community Alliance Church in 1985. God led him to create a missionary and community church in Brooklyn. He has worked in ministry for over thirty-nine years. He has brought many to Jesus Christ. God uses him in teaching healing and spiritual warfare. Since 1982 he has led crusades in Haiti the Dominican Republic and the USA.

CCA also runs the School of Advanced Biblical Studies and Ministries. The church embraces the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination’s Statement of Faith. They share the Core Values of The Alliance. Their mission-central objectives are critical to their identity.

The Alliance focuses on planting churches. This happens in the United States and overseas. Nearly 2000 churches in the U.S. minister Christ’s love. They serve their communities and cities.

Alliance founder A. B. Simpson had a call from God. It was to reach the lost masses. This was both in New York and around the world. He established the New York Gospel Tabernacle. It united like-minded people. It facilitated outreach ministries. He also set up the Missionary Training Institute. This trained men and women for global gospel work.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance officially became a denomination in 1974. But it kept a heart for overseas missions. Past Alliance president Dr. L. L. King said the C&MA was a church with the life of a mission. The mission came first and the church grew out of it.

The C&MA grew from Rev. A.B. Simpson’s vision. He was a Presbyterian pastor from Canada. Simpson believed Christ was his Savior Sanctifier and Healer. Early Alliance congregations were branches. They included members from major denominations.

After Simpson’s death in 1919 Dr. Paul Rader led the C&MA. During this time C&MA tabernacles sprung up in many U.S. cities and in Canada.

Following World War II many people moved to the cities. C&MA tabernacles changed to traditional church buildings. In 1974 the C&MA became a denomination. Dr. A.W. Tozer and Dr. Louis L. King greatly influenced The Alliance.

The C&MA in the U.S. and Canada became multicultural. This happened with refugees from Southeast Asia. Also immigrants came from many parts of the world.

The Christian Community Alliance Church continues its mission today. It stands as a beacon of faith. It shows what a small group can do. Their commitment transforms communities. Their message offers hope to a dying world.
