It met at the home of Gustavo and Avelina Garcia. Bergen Baptist Church sponsored this small community of faith. Bergen Baptist Church is now known as Christ Community Church. On September 26 1965, it was formed as a church. It affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
Rev. Jose Ruiz was ordained as the first pastor. He served until December 1967. In March 1968, Rev. Nicomedes Flores was named the new pastor. There were years of spiritual growth. Attendance increased as well. The church relocated from its original location. It moved from 311 52nd Street in West New York. It moved to the temple it currently occupies. That location is on 5800 Palisade Avenue. Brothers from many Hispanic countries joined. Rev. Flores remained faithful until his retirement. He served for 29 years. In August 1997, Rev. Paul Flores was called to pastor. In August 2003, Rev. Felix Valdivia was named assistant pastor. He served until August 2012. Brother Josue Vazquez became youth pastor in June 2007. Rev. Noel Navarro became assistant pastor in January 2013.

The Love Fellowship Tabernacle was established in April 1994. The church was initially housed in Brooklyn. Its membership of eight worshippers was considered the ‘cradle’ of the Tabernacle. The church was dedicated to helping people. It was winning souls for Jesus. Numerous people have received salvation. They found deliverance through this ministry. The impact of the church was monumental. ABC World News Tonight documented that there had been a 30% drop in crime. This was in the East New York section of Brooklyn. These statistics were released by police precincts. The reduction in crime was accredited to Pastor Walker. He taught and preached the Word of God. Many gave up lives of drugs crime and sin.
In 1996 Love Fellowship Tabernacle moved. It moved to its present location in Brooklyn. After five years of ministry the church membership grew. It went from eight to over 1800 members.
