70 years of blessings that’s what Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra celebrates. Established on May 22 1951 it began as a humble mission station. Around 600 parishioners attended that first Trinity Sunday mass. Father Charles Erb led those early services. The church quickly grew. A larger building was needed to accommodate the increasing congregation. It became the fourth mission church in Osu Accra in 1956. Christ the King isn’t just bricks and mortar though.
