Imagine a retail landscape stretching nearly a mile. That is the incredible China Market Dragon Mall. It stands as the largest Chinese retail trading hub outside mainland China.

The China Market Dragon Mall began with Dragon Mart 1. It was developed by Nakheel Properties with Chinamex. Dragon Mart 1 sought to expand Chinese ties in the Persian Gulf countries. Inspiration was drawn from Beijing’s Forbidden City. Dragon Mart 1 opened in 2004. It sprawls across 240,000 square meters. Parking accommodates 2,000 cars.

Due to its commercial success, Dragon Mart 2 was constructed. It sits adjacent to the original China Market Dragon Mall. Dragon Mart 2 adds 175,000 square meters of space. It provides 4,500 parking spaces. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated Dragon Mart 2 on February 9, 2016. Its construction finished in December 2015.

The China Market Dragon Mall is south of Al Awir Road. It is east of Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road. You’ll find it north of the China Cluster in Dubai International City. Dragon Mart 1 offers wholesale Chinese products. Sections are dedicated to furniture, textiles, and household items. Lighting equipment, sports goods, and garments are also available. Dragon Mart 2 resembles a traditional shopping mall. It has four sections. These cover general merchandise, building materials, home appliances, and hardware. Machinery is also sold there.

Today, the China Market Dragon Mall houses over 3,500 stores. There are also 52 restaurants. Bus transport connects the China Market Dragon Mall to the Centrepoint metro station.

Looking for a bite after shopping? Many restaurants and cafes are located in the China Market Dragon Mall. You can explore the food court. There is also an outdoor dining area called Dragon Drive.
