“What if we’re just a tiny part of a much larger connection?” This isn’t just a random thought. We’re standing right in front of the China-Europe Center. It’s a symbol of the massive network that links China to Europe. This structure, the China-Europe Center, officially opened in the Chengdu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone on May 10, 2019. It’s meant to be a central hub for trade, investment, and technology between Western China and Europe. The building covers a vast area of about 210,000 square meters. Sadly, much of it remains underutilized. It’s a reminder of both the ambitions and the challenges of fostering global connections in a complex world.
