It found a home on Bannock Street in 1975. The museum continued to thrive, attracting more and more curious young minds. By 1984, the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus settled at its current location along the South Platte River. The Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus continued to evolve. In 2015, a huge expansion doubled its size. This expansion added eight new exhibits, both indoors and outdoors, making it even more amazing. Today, the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus covers nine acres. It boasts a 46,902 square foot building, filled with 20 captivating exhibits. It welcomes approximately 450,000 visitors every year. This museum isn’t just a place to look at things. It’s a place to touch, explore and create. The Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus focuses on learning through play, from science and technology to art and literacy. It even has a retired mountain gondola and a swaying monkey bridge in its Altitude climber. Kids can also create art, build with real tools, and explore the wonders of bubbles. The Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus believes in making learning accessible to everyone. It offers programs for children with disabilities and low-income families.
