Did those imposing walls of Chihlee University of Technology ever witness a trade deal gone wrong in its early years? Right now, they stand as symbols of academic pursuit, but imagine this very spot back in 1965. Chihlee University of Technology was established then, known as Chihlee College of Business. It focused on equipping students with skills for the world of commerce. International Trade, Business Administration, Accounting – these were the domains of those early students. A few years later, the college expanded its repertoire to include Secretarial Science. Over time, Chihlee grew, embracing a wider range of disciplines. This evolution culminated in its transition to Chihlee Institute of Technology and finally, in 2015, to its present status as a full-fledged university. Today, Chihlee University of Technology boasts a vibrant community of over 10,000 students, a far cry from its humble beginnings. Each student here carries forward the legacy of those first classes, contributing to the ongoing story of this institution.
