Remember that incredible upset in the Emperor’s Cup? Chiba Prefectural Funabashi Senior High School’s football team almost toppled Yokohama F Marinos the reigning J League champions. It was December 14 2003. Funabashi Municipal High School as it was then known had already shocked everyone by reaching the third round. They’d beaten semi-professional and university teams. Now they faced the best team in Japan.
