Once an underdeveloped area, Cheongdam-dong transformed. Galleries began moving here about ten years ago. This formed the gallery street near the Galleria Department Store. It stretches towards Cheongdam Park.

Many K-pop management companies have their headquarters in Cheongdam-dong. The MCM Haus flagship store is a sight to behold. One half features a design by British artist Richard Woods. The other half has individually numbered brass plates.
10 Corso Como, a shopping and dining complex, opened in 2008. It is located opposite the Galleria Department Store. Cartier opened its first Korean flagship store here too. Its facade was inspired by Korean Bojagi wrapping cloth.
In 2012, Vera Wang opened her first Asian flagship store in Cheongdam-dong. It is named Vera Wang Bridal Korea.
Getting around Cheongdam-dong is easy. Buses, subways, and taxis are readily available. The T-money card works for all three. Subway lines 7 and the Bundang Line serve this area.
