He’s a down-to-earth guy who loves Jesus and loves sport. In fact, he’s so passionate about both that he’s been a volunteer Sports Chaplain with Sports Chaplaincy Australia since 2004! He’s worked with everyone from the Australian Drag Racing Association to the V8 Supercars and now serves as the senior chaplain for the Redland-Victoria Point Sharks Australian Football Club. Centenary Baptist Church is also deeply committed to supporting mission work both in Australia and around the world. They pray regularly for missionaries and give generously to support their work. One of the missions they support is a couple who are translating the Bible into a language used by a remote hill tribe in Southeast Asia with Wycliffe. Another is a family planting churches in Southern Thailand through OMF. Closer to home, two young members work on university campuses with Power to Change, evangelizing and discipling students. It’s really inspiring to see how this church is making a difference in the world.
