Dato Freida Pilus founded Cempaka Schools in 1983. She opened the first campus in a rented bungalow. Her goal was to provide the best education for her sons. Over time, Cempaka has grown significantly.

Cempaka International School Damansara Heights offers the British International Curriculum. Secondary students from Year 7 to Year 11 take the Cambridge IGCSE Curriculum.
